What is Story Audit Studio?
Story Audit Studio is a manuscript diagnostic workspace for writers, editors, critique partners, and serious revisers. It helps organize manuscript structure, story contents, and review signals so the author can decide what needs closer attention.
Does Story Audit Studio rewrite my manuscript?
No. Story Audit Studio is designed for analysis and review. It does not replace your original manuscript text or make creative decisions for you.
Do I keep ownership of my manuscript?
Yes. Your manuscript stays yours. Story Audit Studio does not claim copyright, authorship, publishing rights, or ownership of your manuscript. Uploaded text is used only to provide manuscript diagnostics and reports for your account.
What can I do with the Basic tier?
Basic gives you a free account and a starting workspace for manuscript setup. It is meant to let writers get familiar with the product while deeper paid diagnostics are opened in stages.
What happens when paid tiers open?
Paid tiers will unlock deeper diagnostic reports and expanded capacity. Starter, Advanced, and Editorial checkout can be activated from the admin side as those tiers become ready.
Can I see examples before uploading my own work?
Yes. The sample workspaces show manuscript details, story contents, and example reports so you can understand the workflow before using your own manuscript.
Who should use Story Audit Studio?
It is built for authors revising drafts, independent writers preparing for feedback, editors organizing early review signals, and critique partners who want a clearer map of a manuscript.
What file information is stored?
Story Audit Studio stores the account information, uploaded manuscript, extracted text, project details, and generated reports needed to provide the service. You can review account controls and export options from your account page.
Can I opt out of product update emails?
Yes. Account users can manage product update preferences from the Account page. Product update emails also include an unsubscribe link. Waitlist contacts can unsubscribe from those emails too.
Why do I see a cookie notice?
Story Audit Studio uses essential cookies for login and optional first-party analytics to understand page visits. If you decline analytics, the site will still work, but visit tracking will not run in that browser.
How do I manage billing?
After a paid subscription is connected through Stripe Checkout, the Account page can open Stripe subscription management for payment methods, invoices, plan changes, and cancellation.
Who handles payments?
Payments and subscription billing are handled securely by Stripe. Story Audit Studio does not store your full card number or payment method details on its own servers.
Where do I update my card or view invoices?
After subscribing, go to Account and choose Manage subscription. That opens Stripe's secure billing portal where you can update payment methods, view invoices, and manage billing details.
Can I cancel a subscription?
Yes. Subscription cancellation is handled through the Stripe billing portal from your Account page. Your access may remain active through the paid billing period depending on the subscription status returned by Stripe.
Do annual subscriptions include a discount?
Yes. Annual subscriptions are priced with two months free compared with paying monthly for twelve months.
What if my paid tier was assigned manually?
A manually assigned tier gives app access, but it does not automatically create a Stripe billing record. Use the account billing area to connect Stripe billing once checkout is active for that tier.

Create a free Basic account, explore the sample workspaces, then upload a manuscript when you are ready to organize your own project.
